This impressively ripe Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from the Gimblett Gravels district in Hawke's Bay, shows lifted aromas of cassis, dark plum, cigar and cedar, followed by a richly fruited and generous texture.
Full, very dark, near impenetrable black-red colour with youthful purple hues on the rim. The nose is gently full and softly concentrated with youthful, primary aromas of ripe, blackberried fruits and spicy black plums, unfolding fragrant herbs, camphor and cedary oak elements.
The palate grows in volume with aeration. Medium-bodied and elegant in proportion, vibrantly rich and ripe, succulently sweet fruit flavors of dark raspberries, boysenberries, black pepper and iron-earth are enriched and enlivened by fresh acidity. Food match: Serve with roasted and grilled lamb, beef and venison over the next 5-6+ years.
